St.George Church

Information about room 6 + corridor OG

The Evangelical Lutheran Parish of St. George – Kraftshof is located in the middle of Knoblauchsland. Approximately 2,350 Protestant Christians live here in the villages of Almoshof, Buch, Kraftshof, Lohe and Neunhof.
The beautiful picture of the church with the typical garlic fields in front of the building on acrylic glass, gave us the inspiration to dedicate the interior of the Hotel Grüne Elster to the garlic country. Garlic country is one of the largest contiguous vegetable growing areas in Germany. The development of this historic, old Franconian cultural landscape in the city triangle of Nuremberg-Fürth-Erlangen dates back to the 8th century.

On the right the split carrot or turnip on the different picture surfaces and on the left the garlic on wood, were our first implementation for a room. We liked this so much that we then began our research for very different motifs and images.
